How can i train Harry to stop biting me? He has been biting me every time i try to give him love. He comes up to me like he wants kisses like his brother. His brother Pilgore is very nice and doesn't bite or nip at all. But Harry keeps nipping at my lips and now he is biting my face every time i give him love. Its fine if he isn't a kisser. But Harry keep biting me. Last time i didn't even give kisses, he just pounced up and bit me a little on the side of the face. For like no reason. I think he smells food or beer on my lips and that is why. But the side of my face doesn't have any food smell. It wasn't an aggressive bite i am not hurt or anything. But he is very rough

Harry is also getting bullied by his brother. They are sorta getting biter as they get older.

Try saying No firmly and putting the flat of your hand against his face,then put him down away from you.Another way to tell him of rat style is to flip him on his back hold him down for a minute and gently pinch his belly.

I have a feeling he'll cry if i try to flip him over. So i will try the push him away with my hand method.

When my ratties get up in my face and bite or nibble (just curious or being annoying) I pick them up and move them away. Takes a few times, but they get the message that it's not allowed.

Oh they know its not allowed but they know if i try to punish them they'll cry and i will feel bad about it and give them more attention.

One of my newest ones was doing this, and I got him to stop in only 1 attempt! Here’s my reply in another thread explaining how. I wouldn’t recommend flipping them over or pinching them, that’s likely to scare them. This method was gentle and got mine to stop nipping me in less than 5 mins!

Ya he has pretty well learned now. I just push him away or pick him up and put him away from me. Saying "Bad boy!"
