So I have two rats and one is scratching himself so hard he's breaking skin and his scabs are black. I thought it was a flea and tried to take it off then I realized it was a scab and left it alone. His fur on his back is really think as well. He scratches himself on his neck and only there really. My other rat scratches but waaay less them him so I'm pretty sure its not mites. I'm just really scared he's sick. Thanks in advance.

Some rats tend to be more "mite resistant" than others. I'm not sure why you would say your pretty sure it isn't mites... Check the older threads for mites and Revolution... remember you really can't see the little buggers.

Yeah I was pretty out of it last night and didn't want to believe I had mites lol but I ended up buying beaphar off amazon and I'm hoping it'll work. Tonight I'm giving my rats a bath in olive oil do you know if that works?
