I have two young males and a 2 year old male living in the bottom lvl CN. On the top level, there are 4 females (3 young and 1 senior lady). I have been using concrete mixing tubs as bins in the cage for months and have never had any issue. Now though, my two young males have chewed out two of the corners and are living behind the concrete mixing tub. I use plastic mesh and duct tape to fix the holes and it worked for a for an hour or two, but when I woke up this morning, they were outside of the bin again. I put a wooden shelf in one corner and lava ledges over another corner where they were chewing to try and deter it, but it did not help much.
I ordered a BASS pan last week and is scheduled to be here on Monday, but I still have to cure it which will take time.

Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to stop them from getting behind the pan? One is just a tiny guy and he idolizes the other male rat, so he is repeating everything the other young rat does.
