hi! I couldn't find a different forum that this would go under, so yeah.

A little over a week ago, I got two rats, they were about 8" nose to tail tip at the time, they didn't weigh too much either. I don't know how long they are now, but they are a noticible amount heavier, they don't look any bigger, so yeah.

Do rats normaly grow this fast?

Thanks!

Especially rats kept in previously horrendous conditions, but generally yep. If you post a picture, we can actually estimate age for you if you want.

Yeah they grow super fast. Just 3 months ago Tempy was tiny, from the "small" feeder bin at PetCo. He now weighs over 500g and is about the length of my forearm. And I don't think he's done growing.

I'll try to post some recent pictures soon, and they were in a 10-15 gallon fish tank with around 10 other rats, a 9"wheel, two water bottles, and a biggish hut. I am not too sure, but I think those conditions aren't like paradise to rats. Is that considered horrendeous?
