it depends a bit on how old they are and what else you feed. Low sugar breakfast cereals like puffed rice is often good, as are herb leaves. Both are great for adults. If you've got youngsters then higher protien treats like seeds and good quality cat treats are great too. Most rats go nuts for peas and such and i lvoe giving mine cooked bones and the occasional hard boiled egg.

I would avoid anything too sweet, salty or fatty, if rats never have them then they dont know they are missing out and enjoy healthy treats a lot more
