But then I found a single unit critter nation is about the same price on amazon, even with crazy shipping.

Other one has a bit more height, but from what I've heard, critter nation is one of the best cages you can get, should I just go with that for quality?

(I am getting two male rats if that helps)

I don't have any experience with that cage, but I do have CN cages and I love them. The thing I really like about the CN cages is how the doors open all the way. It makes cleaning and rearranging so much easier.
