My boyfriend and I go very often to get Subway for lunch and whatnot.

I figured giving the rats tidbits of the meat and lettuce wouldn't be too bad, but I'd like to know if anyone knows of any bad things if Subway meats that might harm my fuzzies?


I just get roast beef and turkey, no mayo or mustard or anything. Blech!


Also, pickles? Would the vinegar be bad?

I don't think little tidbits would be bad, check the forbidden foods list and I'm not sure about the pickles.

lol ur rats are lucky mine dont even get a crumb of my subway lol i love subway italian bmt far 2 much to share lol they get bits of most my other meals!

rats can eat and survive off of just about anything, new york is proof of that
i would say use your instinct or check as nerdchick suggested a bad food list.
and its probly not so much the vinegar as it is the salt content.

I just don't know what's in the subway meats, and don't really have a way to know. I don't want to expose the rats to any chemical or something that would be harmless to us but may have an effect on the rats. Hence my posting this.

Probably any horomones or chemicals and subway food is going to be the same or near enough to the same as any other lunchmeat type food.
