I am looking for a customizable wall/barrier I can put up to make a safe playground so the rats cant escape from.
so far we are using cardboard and well, weve had several escapes.
does anyone have any suggestions for where on amazon I can get barriers for the rats?
We want to let them have free roam and open space just....not into the rest of the house lol

There’s a few options on Amazon, just got a set myseubut haven’t used it yet as it’s for when I travel in a few days but will soon test it out before I leave. Make sure the bar spacing is less than 1”. A lot of them are some are squares or rectangular bar spacing. Some have solid plastic wall pieces too. Also pay attention to the size of each panel as different brands have different sizes. The nice thing is you can buy one set and see how it is then add on later if it seems to work or you need more space. As for chewing or escaping pay attention to measurements and might have to figure something after putting it together. I got mine that has metal and plastic panels so I can put the plastic up top so they can’t climb out (hopefully not jump out either) or you’d have to put a top on it as well. Also can attach hammocks or rope bridges and whatever to the wire part giving more for them to play on besides just stuff on the floor. The one I got has different sets available. If I get a chance soon I’ll post my thoughts on the one I got.

Oh if you’re handy you could make your own out of 1/4”-1/2” hardwire cloth/mesh and attach non toxic wood frame to the outside. Use screws with washers to attach wire to wood. Can make any size need to. And if make it in panels can figure out a way to add to it or rearrange the shape/size. Just watch for sharp edges.
