so i had to buy a new water bottle for my little ladies as they chewed through the last one somehow. i bought the super pet chewproof glass waterbottle, the biggest one. (says its for ferrets/rabbits/and other small animals--- so i take "small animals" to be rats as well)

im worried that this water bottle is too big, and they wont be able to push the ball bearing back far enough to make it work properly, they seem to have had some trouble with it so far, i give it a shake now and then to get the water flowin.

ideas/tips?

ive read some other posts on other sites about this same water bottle, and they have the same troubles.

the metal drinking spout fills with water, but you have to tap it a few times to refill it once they drink it, as it doesnt refill itself for some reason, must be a defect.

taking it back today for another one.

sad day, thanks for letting us know. i just have the kind that sits on the outside and the metal nozzle pokes thru to their side. if they can't reach it, they can't chew it (or they shouldn't, ha ha).
