So, one of my new boys, Spork, I've noticed since I got him a few days ago that when he's standing there watching me, his head sways back and forth. At first I thought it might just be because he was scared from moving, but he's still doing it.

Is this anything to be concerned about? He seems/sounds healthy, he just seems dizzy.

He does it to see better what color eyes does he have? if they are ruby (which is what iriquois has and he sways) he is trying to make out the lumps of light he sees.

Yeah rats normally "sway" their heads to get a better focus on stuff. My Nezume will do it right before she jumps. :)

Totally normal. He's just got bad eyesight. ;)

It'll make him a better laprat because he won't be able to jump off as easily.
haha iriquois doesn't let his eyesight stop him he just goes LoL

If your rat's familiar with the room, they'll remember the spatial layout and jump. But if you take your rat outside, shopping, etc., the ruby-eye (and especially the pink-eye) rats are a lot less adventurous.
