My spouse noticed that my girls have pretty long teeth. They have plenty to gnaw on, but I don't think they use anything. We have wood toys in the cage and toilet paper rolls.

Also, are they supposed to have really yellow teeth?

A good article on rat teeth: http://www.ratbehavior.org/Teeth.htm Yes their teeth are yellow. They grind their teeth down by eating, gnawing on things and bruxing when they grind the teeth down by rubbing them together. It isn't necessary that they gnaw or chew wood or toys, but it is good to have them available.
