THC for Tumors?

THC meaning the kind in weed.
I'm not going to include much detail but I know someone who grows. There would be no added chemicals in the weed.

I was thinking about getting a vaporiser and giving my old boy with a abdominal tumor some.
I know I've read that THC can slow tumor growth, help with pain, and many other things for cancer patients so I figured why not do it for my rat since I have it available.

Has anyone had any experiance with anyone on medical pot to help with tumors and did you personally see a slow in growth?

Also if you have opinions or want to know how this goes for my boy feel free to speak up.

All I can say is that on test done on rats numerous times there is no possible way to overdose on it, and there aren't any harmful side affects. So really, worse case scenario, they have slower reaction time (the rats who were injected with had a 6, or was it .6?, second slower reaction time then rats without it). and will be hungry more often.

Would be interesting if it works though. So if you do, do this (you Might want to get permission to do this Just so you don't end up in trouble/in jail depending on if it's legal in your state) keep us updated on the progress (or at least me since I'm interested on if it would work).

Lol it's illegal here. But because of the area I live in it's pretty safe for me to do.
I plan to give him his first dose tomorrow, he wont eat solid food right now so I want him to be more hungry.
I feel like it could really help him, I don't use it myself but I'm really interested in if it could pick him up and really extend his life.
I'll for sure keep ya updated Lightening. :)

I do wanna say real quick though to anyone reading this I don't suggest anyone going out and buying pot from a random dealer or something and use it on your rat. Drugs are often laced with all kinds of stuff including rat poison so it could end badly for your baby. The only reason I'm doing this is because I know where the pot I'm getting is coming from and know it's safe.

I have no idea about this from a medical standpoint--at least no for rats. I know my aunt uses medical MJ as part of her homeopathic treatment and her cancer has been stable/improving for the past year. I do know if you're going to try it you need to use the vaporiser because smoke would seriously harm your boy's lungs. If you have one, though, and someone else chimes in with a study, etc on the subject I'd say go for it.

Oh yeah I would never use smoke on my rat. That's why I'm getting a vaporiser or I might cook it into a meal for him.
Lightening just said they cant OD on it so I'm totally going for it.
Heck if it works it could add a year onto his life and that would make me and him very happy. :)

That would be pretty awesome! Just a tip--if you cook it into something you have to cook the THC into a butter first. You can't just put pot in something and expect the THC to activate. I assume you probably know that, but if you didn't send me a PM and I can explain the process. I have a variety of family and friends who use medical MJ for many different things and have learned a lot of tricks over the years.

You do not have to cook it, but it does work better if it is added to an oil of some sort. Butter works but olive oil is better. Heating it up will speed up the process of THC leeching into the oils, but will actually make it less effective. I would grind it to a dust and then add it to some olive oil and let sit at room temp for about 6-8 hours

Obviously, and accordance with the stated policies of this website any discussion that might promote the use of unlawful drugs is discouraged... So I'll preface my remarks with

Don't do drugs! & Drugs are bad!

That said, and only as an experimental treatment on rats... I've never read a study where pot has actually cured cancer or in itself slowed it's growth... That would be rather optimistic. But as I recall teflon was developed by someone trying to make an artificial sweetener or some such absurdity and look how that worked out.

9 decades of studies pretty much show it does no harm to rats, so what do you have to lose? ...well there's fines, jail, unpleasant long term roommates and uncaring parole officers. Just make sure the wafting aroma from your vaporizer doesn't attract any unwanted attention or people might think you're abusing illegal drugs. Getting busted can be a most unpleasant side effect of an experimental drug treatment on rats gone terribly wrong.

I'm aware of the possibility of getting busted.
I live in a rural area with no close neighbors, the nearest store is a hour drive.
Someone in my house already uses so even if a cop were to randomly wander up and search our home I'm already screwed in that sense.

But yeah drugs are bad when not being used for medical purposes.
I dont use any drugs myself except those a doctor has given me. Like I said I really don't suggest anyone who doesn't know what they are doing or getting themselves into do this at all.

Even if it only increases his appetite and makes him feel good that'll be a improvement in my book.
He's eating baby food and cereal well but he cant only eat that for a long period of time. xD

Oh no! I swear officer it was just for my rat! Omg could you even imagine the look I would get?

milk.
rats love it.
swim knows that certian things can be infused into WHOLE milk, and since your rat cant eat solids well, milk may be a warm welcome (warm is ok)
swim knows it taste bad, but in the amont needed for a rat, something SWEET could be added to resolve this.
furthermore swim also knows smoke AND vapor may cause more harm than good, especially with OLDER rats.
Me nor SWIM reccomend breaking any laws, however.
