I'd say by looking, it's decent for 3-4 rats. Looks like its 3x2ft in length and width, close to the dimensions of a double story critter nation. All it needs is a tray to cover the wire at the bottom and it'd be perfect imo. I hope you get a chance to inspect it in person before you commit to buying. Considering a brand new cage that size will run you at least $200, $175 isn't bad unless its in poor condition.

Don't let me talk you into something you don't want though, listen to your gut. :)

So I found it online at petsmart for 279. I will post the pic with measurements. I do think it's gonna be a yes as long as it's in good condition, especially since I'm going to need to house all the babies , I will be able to atleast separate sexes for awhile

If you're interested, theres the double unit ferret nation cage on sale for $204 on amazon, thats a great deal!

I thought I saw somewhere on this forum that Ferret Nations aren't ideal for rats because of the vertical bars and the bar spacing 🤔 OP needs a cage to house rat babies when they are weaned from mom and are waiting to go to their new homes.

If OP is in Vermont or nearby, someone posted a used Critter Nation for sale in the Classified section: Single Story CN - Burlington VT

Keeping checking FB Marketplace, Craigslist, FreeCycle, Buy Nothing Group, etc for any used suitable rat cages.

Nope, you're right, those 1"in spaces are waay too large for baby rats. Slipped my mind, thank you for letting youngsmelisa know. :)

So I did end up getting the same cage :) it's amazing. I had to buy it new but definitely worth it. I put the bottom bin above the wires and rolled towels in tightly around the corners so no space allows anyone to fall out
