If you mean the snak shaks - - Mine LOVE them! They will crawl through and chew on them often, they are very durable and last a long time!

 

My girls like the snak shak logs better, they tend to chew on them till they are gone, and the hut they just chew it till they can't fit in it, then ignore it.

 

Be cautious with those…I had the log shaped one for my mice and it began growing some nasty looking green and yellow mold. :?

 

Mine don't let it stick around that long LOL!

 

I thought that rats weren't supposed to have alfalfa, and and those snak shacks have it listed in the ingredients. Am i just getting it mixed up with something else..?

 

If I'm not mistaken, rats can eat alfalfa... it just doesn't have any real nutritional value for them. Or something. Regardless, it won't hurt them, it just doesn't count as food.

 

I wouldn't buy or use these things. They are a horrible "treat" for your rats and the ingredients include pine shavings and a bunch of fillers. Why not just get your rat a waffle house or cardboard box...both are safer.

 

I had one of the bowl shaped stump ones, it was chewed up alittle but it was mainly used as a good dish because it was heavy enough not to be flipped over.

When I play with my rats in the bathroom, they play in boxes that hold the soda, they love it.

 

I use soda boxes and homemade hammocks and what not. I'd rather have something that didn't cost me anything that I can throw away or wash, instead of lose money on if they decide not to acknowledge it or just pee on it. =/
