Hi, I was just wondering what treats people use for training their rats. So treats that are fairly healthy so you can give them quite a few but also treats that the rats will be interested in eating.
Thanks.

I use baby puffs from Gerber. They break up nicely into even smaller treats.

I've found that cheerios broken up work pretty well. I usually break them into thirds and use those.

I've been told cheerios are too high in sugar but I suppose if you break them up that's better :)

I think plain cheerios are what most people use... I only have honey nut... The gerber baby puffs are said to be fairly high in sugar too, so you may want to be careful with those as well. ^-^ My babies eat a bit too much sugar, I think. :I

Haha okay I looked at cheerios ingredients online and they actually don't look that high in sugar. The plain ones anyway. Yeah the gerber puffs aren't an option they are way too expensive. Is there anything else suitable? I want to be able to train them with treats but I'm guessing that's going to require lots!
