Two additions to the family

On Monday I acquired two female rats. I had read about pet rats on the internet, and made up my mind to get a pair. I've had goldfish, budgies, zebra finches, hamsters... I was thinking of getting a lizard, like a gecko or a bearded dragon, but I changed my mind.

My girls are about seven weeks old; one is named Rheza (pronounced Ree' zhah) and the other is named Rhan'ha (Rah' nyah... that 'y' is like in 'young' or 'yet). The reason for the unusual spelling is that they are named after two characters in a series of science fiction stories I'm trying to write (trying... yeah, right). Alien rats, if you will. They are cute, and they are already developing their own personalities.

Well, that's it for now. I just thought I'd drop in and introduce me... and my rats.
