so this is my first time being a rat owner, and i have two young male rats. or at least i think... one of them has a large scrotum and the other doesn't?

Hi Erinekar,

Who told you that the second rat was male?? Most male rats are rather obvious about their maleness. If it has been neutered an easy way to tell gender is to pick it up and rub it's abdomen, if it has nipples it's female as only female rats have nipples. Hope this helps!!
