We have six rats, four in a family unit, and two babies solo in a smaller cage.

Two of the four-unit have become hormonal and aggressive (the younger pair), which led to an injury on another rat (the older pair). As a result, after the vet checked the injured over today we booked the hormonal pair in for neutering. Everything aligns and it does appear to be hormonal aggression.

The four-unit have been separated into their original pairs for safety until then.

So now we have the two babies, who we were hoping to introduce soon, but are unsure what's best. The babies were born on roughly 29 July 2022.

Should we introduce the babies to the tamer/older pair and then reintegrate the two that are being neutered a few weeks later, or should we hold off any introduction until the four-unit are reunited?
