We had Zeeky neutered about 5 weeks ago because he was being really agressive toward Buddy. (caused a couple bleeding wounds) Since then he has really lost his pep. He use to be the one that would always come out of the cage and run around. First out, last in. Now he barely comes out at all. He just sleeps most of the time. He was also always really lean, but now he's starting to chunk up a bit.

Is this normal after a neuter? Or should I be worried that there is something else wrong with him? He's been prone to URIs since He was young, but he doesn't sound like he's stuffed up and he's not sneezing excessively. He's just turning into a slug. (he's only about a year old, so I wouldn't think age would be slowing him down yet)

To be honest, it sounds normal to me.
Neutered and spayed animals often become more laid back, and end up gaining weight. It's happening with my cat right now! Lol
