I know i already posted a thread about paint but i need more help as i am confused. I was told rustoleum is ok as long as it dries for a week, but i did some more searching on the forum and another thread said it was NOT safe and you should use krylon.

Im super confused. I was given a Feisty Ferret cage for FREE and the only problem is that its badly rusted. Buying a new cage is not an option right now. I need a way to make the cage safe for my rats.

Im nervous that something i do will be harmful to my new babies, please help!

http://eartheasy.com/article_bird_safe_paints.html I have no idea which of those paints would be better, but I found a page that has tips for painting bird cages and the paint site they linked to looks like the safest paint I could find anywhere on the internet. However they don't sell spray paint. I looked and it seems like Krylon makes a Low-VOC paint called H2O, but it got very mixed reviews on amazon and I'm not sure if I would completely trust it.
