Hello! My two girls are both currently on medication for their sneezing and I've been noticing crusties on my oldest girls eye. I wipe them off and just thought of them as porphorin staining and since they're both on meds I never really thought twice about it.

Tonight I noticed that there was white crusties on both my girls eyes. Not in the inner corners but about almost halfway up their eyelid area on the top.

What is this and what causes it?

This could well be mange mites, they can make the ears and other facial features crusty. Could you get a photo
She's so squirmy still but it's literally the smallest piece every so often.

What causes mange mites? Their ears are as clean as can be also.

It may not be just keep an eye on it. If it is mange mites then it's likley to get worse. They can pick them up from bedding and food if your unlucky

There was nothing when I gave her her meds this morning. I'll check again tonight. There's a tiny little scab near her eye from before maybe it just crusted over and it's gone? I don't know. I'll check it later on. She hasn't been acting funny or anything. I'm sure it's nothing.
