One online list I found says fir is harmful to rats: What Wood Can My Rat Chew? That product you are looking at is intended for birds.

I would only buy wooden platforms and such that are specifically made for small animals. Amazon can be sketchy, even products sold and shipped directly by Amazon. I suggest buying from (and supporting!) a small business on Etsy. Prices reflect the handmade nature of the items (so a little pricer than Amazon) but at least you know the product is safe for your critter. I have a list here of Etsy sellers I like: Suggestions on stores for supplies? (US) I have a coupon code for the Pandamonium Pets Etsy shop if you would like to use it.

To add onto what Clarkbar said, pumice stone ("lava ledges") can be placed under sippers or as other platforms in the enclosure and will file down the rats' nails. It can also work on their teeth, if they decide to chew on it.
