Hey there,I was first introduced to the idea of rats as pets about 11 years ago. I fell totally in love with them. My first rattie died 8 years ago, and I went rat-less for quite a while. ‘Bout two months ago I was in Petsmart and paused to look in the small animal section. They had some beautiful (and very well cared for) young ratties. I asked an employee if I could ‘just hold one.’ Well, to make a long story short, 15 minutes later I was walking out with a pair of rats- Fiona, a black hooded, and her sister, Rose, a beige capped. More recently, back at the same Petsmart, I was buying a new cage for the girls and happened to notice they had gotten in a gorgeous little blue hoodie girl. Since I was getting a bigger cage it was the perfect excuse to cave into GMR! Soooo…now Rose, Fiona, and little Lana are all snoozing in a hammock together. Well, that’s my story! :wink:
