Hi, I have three rats, two are about eight months old from a breeder, and they're completely healthy (also I think they're dumbo rats but I'm not sure) and my newest rat was a rescue. I don't know exactly how old she is, but she's very little and looks young. Basically, she was a feeder rat, they put her in with the snake and the snake didn't eat her, and now she's mine. The first few days I had her, she was completely fine, other than her sneezing a bit (which I assume was stress, she's stopped now). She jumped out of the box onto my arm and immediately we got attached to each other. I kept her in my rat carrier and sometimes put her in the "dinosaur" shaped cage. Then, I began putting her in with the other two rats (It's a critter nation cage) and they sniffed each other and seemed fine. Whenever I fed them, they would all three fight, so that was concerning, but I always watched and stopped it before it got too serious. A few days later of her being with the other rats, she just sat in the corner and wouldn't move. I put her back in the carrier and put a bowl of food (which she immediately began eating so she might've not been getting enough food) and water bottle on the top for her to drink. Over the days, I noticed she just doesn't seem to be moving much, and she looks scruffy. Now, her hair is falling out, she's still eating and drinking, and she shivers (I put the heater closer to her carrier and she curls up as close as she can to it). Her eyes keep getting like glued shut, and whenever I open the carrier, she tries (slowly, cause her movements are super slow and really uncoordinated) to climb onto my shoulder and sleep. She doesn't let anyone else hold her, and once I left her on my desk with food and water because I was making her oatmeal, and she climbed off and followed me. I asked my parents to take her to the vet, but we're flying tomorrow so I'll be gone from her for two weeks (a friend is watching all the animals, but he's no expert) and I don't know what to do :/ PLS HELP!
