Losing hair on paw?

I was playing around with my girl Georgie when I noticed her paw looked a little different. The top of it was missing hair. Maybe I'm being paranoid, but does this mean anything? Couldn't get a photo because she kept squirming. (will add one as soon as possible)

If the skin looks pink and healthy and the edges are well demarcated,it is likely just barbering,a nervous habit where rats over groom themselves and others in the mischief .There is nothing you can do to stop it but it is harmless.Another common cause of thinning fur is mites, but this is usually on the back or face and presents with tiny red scabs dotted around. All rats have mites but the population can overgrow if the rat is stressed or run down.
